In different cultures, “yes” doesn’t always mean full agreement. It can sometimes mean respect, politeness, or avoiding conflict. This may lead to situations where someone agrees in the moment but later feels uncomfortable, showing it through silence, frustration, or withdrawal.
These reactions are not about right or wrong, but about differences in communication styles, expectations, and emotional expression.
The goal is to slow down assumptions, reflect on misunderstandings, and improve clarity by checking understanding and allowing space for honest communication.
