Emily Weidenbacher
MA, LPCC

Emily Weidenbacher is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor serving clients in the metro Twin Cities area. Emily received her bachelor of science degree at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Human Development and Family Studies and then received her Master of Arts through Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Emily specializes in seeing adolescents and college-aged students and prides herself on the value of building connections with individuals throughout their therapeutic journey. Emily's therapeutic approach is from a person-centered, strengths-based, and culturally attentive lens that is experiential and collaborative. Emily has experience building programs for mental health agencies surrounding the twin cities, and finds that combining her love for teaching and clinical work makes for a cohesive blend that fosters her leadership skills. Emily's passion lies not only in providing compassionate care to clients but also in empowering young therapists as they navigate their educational and early career paths. Emily believes that therapists are made through a combination of education, supervision/mentorship, and hands-on experience. Through supervision, training, and one-on-one guidance, Emily strives to instill confidence and provide the tools needed to thrive in this rewarding yet challenging field. Emily's teaching style focuses on fostering curiosity, encouraging self-reflection, and emphasizing the importance of self-care for clinicians.

When Emily is not in session or teaching, you can find her bingeing the latest reality TV shows, trying new makeup and skincare products, playing at the park with her nieces and nephews, and experimenting with new recipes from her favorite cookbook.
